Ceramic Lined Solid Tungsten Carbide Ball Valves For Steel Particles Exported to India


YFL 150lbs 3'' Ceramic lined solid tungsten carbide ball valves are customized for our customer in India to solve the abrasion problems caused by abrasive steel particles.

The working conditions and technical requirements from our customer are as follow:

1. Medium: dry abrasive steel particles with 0.1mm-1mm diameter

2. Working pressure: 7bar

3. Air supply power: 6bar

4. Operation method: Double acting pneumatic

5. Operation frequency: very high

6. Leakage class: Zero leakage

To meet the working conditions and technical requirements as above, considering the size and hardness of steel particles, we customize the ball and seat in material of solid tungsten carbide to be wear resistant and avoid broken during operation. We don't use normal ceramic ball valves with ceramic ball and seat in this case, because the ceramic ball and seat may be broken when there is large size steel particles during high frequency operation. And the body is lined with ceramic to protect the inside body from abrasion caused by abrasive steel particles.

Pneumatic Ceramic O-Port Ball Valves to Glencore for nickel slurry in hydrometallurgical process

The 150#RF 3''  pneumatic ceramic O-port ball valves  are designed for Glencore to solve abrasion and corrosion problems in Nickel hydrometallurgical process. The abrasive and corrosive process specifications are as follows: 1. Temperature: 140 deg C (Max. at 150°C when the evaporator shut off); 2. Concentration H2SO4: 25 to 70 %; 3. % of solid in the solution (Nickel sulfate): about 40 %; 4. The process creates a maximum pressure of 2 psi + the pressure of the liquid column which is 12 feet (specific gravity of 1.7); 5. Compressed air is  injected upstream to prevent blockage; 6. The valve can do up to 400 on/off cycles per day; 7. Actual ball valve is a 3 inches stainless steel 316 (CF8M) which needs to be replaced approximately every 3 to 4 months; 8. Ceramic V-Notch Ball Valves For Abrasive and Corrosive Cocoa Powder Exported To Food Company In Spain

YFL PN10 DN80 Ceramic V-Port ball valves were exported to food company in Spain for abrasive and corrosive cocoa powder. The existing valves which our client used in have abrasion and corrosion problems. The detailed working conditions and requirements from our client are as follows: 1. medium: carbonate steam with cocoa powder, the medium is corrosive and abrasive. 2. working pressure: 2bar 3. working temperature: 150℃ 4. Operation method: pneumatic actuated 5. On/Off or Regulating: Regulating Considering there is steam in the medium, we customize our ceramic ball valves with ball in material of Alumina (Al2O3) instead of Zirconia (ZrO2), and the seat is made of Alumina (Al2O3). Normally for ceramic ball valves, Zirconia (ZrO2) is more suitable than Alumina (Al2O3) to be material of ceramic ball duo to higher flexual strength.
